What is CEREC same-day dentistry?
CEREC uses digital scanning and in-office technology to design and create certain ceramic restorations during a single visit.
Which restorations can be made with CEREC?
CEREC may be used for crowns, inlays, onlays, and some veneers. The dentist will determine whether a same-day ceramic restoration is appropriate for your tooth.
Will I need a temporary crown?
In many CEREC cases, the final restoration is designed, milled, and placed during the same appointment, so a temporary crown is not necessary.
Are same-day crowns durable?
CEREC restorations are made from strong dental ceramic and are designed for long-term function. Good hygiene and avoiding damaging habits help protect the restoration.
